Our Ethos 

At Bressingham Primary School, we foster an inclusive and caring community where every pupil is valued and encouraged to thrive. Our core belief is that each child’s development is central to our mission. We are dedicated to creating a safe and happy environment that inspires pupils to take responsibility for their learning and exceed expectations.

Our Values

As a school, the pupils, parents, staff and governors worked together to decide on values that would become a part of school life. This is outlined in school rules and our Acorn Agreements in conjunction with our motto  ‘From tiny acorns, mighty oaks grow’. From assemblies and lessons to everyday actions and vocabulary, everyone uses our school values. We are proud of these and how they reflect our school. These can be found below:

  • At Bressingham Primary School, we believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that adults and children learn new things every day. 
  • We maintain that learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience; it should be fun.
  • We have high expectations of all members of our school community and work together to provide a calm, caring, inspiring and. enjoyable learning environment in which each child can develop their skills and abilities to their full potential.

Our Aims

  • To provide a tailored, broad and balanced curriculum that inspires, challenges and excites our pupils to achieve excellence and motivates them to succeed.
  • To master key skills in reading, writing and maths that can be applied to a range of contexts and purposes and strengthened in all curriculum areas.
  • To promote a positive attitude towards learning, so that pupils enjoy coming to school, and acquire a solid basis for lifelong learning.
  • To ensure that children are safe and know how to keep themselves safe.
  • To encourage all children to be resilient and persevere when faced with challenges and feel confident when facing new situations.
  • To develop children’s confidence and self-esteem by recognising personal strengths and qualities and celebrating and nurturing these.
  • To encourage all children to be polite and kind, form positive relationships, celebrate diversity and show tolerance and respect for all members of the school and local community.
  • To provide opportunities for all round physical development through creative, competitive and challenging activities.
