Bressingham Primary School has a good reputation within the local community for producing well rounded children. As a school we are measured against other schools by our achievements in the National Tests; our standards are generally significantly above the National Average. At Bressingham, we believe that school is more than just English and Maths and we strive to deliver a curriculum that is fun and interesting to our pupils. We also aim to deliver sporting and arts opportunities to our pupils and are keen that they become involved in the numerous extra-curricular clubs on offer.
Catchment Area and Admissions
Our children come from our catchment area of Bressingham, Fersfield and parts of South Lopham, but many also come from neighbouring villages and towns. We are a welcoming, open school for all.
Children start in Reception in the academic year in which they are 5 and stay with us until they are 11, when they transfer to High School. Currently we have 15 children in our reception class.
All applications for children starting school are handled by the Local Authority, but please let us know if you are considering a place for your child at Bressingham. Please also contact us directly if your child is in Year 1 to 6 and you wish them to attend Bressingham School.
We have a close relationship with many of our local nurseries, including ‘The Swan‘ in Roydon, ‘Conkers‘ in Heywood Road, Diss, and Safehands in Diss.
