Over many years, we have made key strategic decisions and changes in order to ensure we have developed an exciting, ambitious and broad curriculum. A curriculum that is central to and underpinned by our school’s vision and values.
We want all children to succeed. Our curriculum is designed to help children remember and know more so they learn with enjoyment and purpose.
Lessons are sequenced to build on prior knowledge, but also at a pace that ensures knowledge is cemented. Opportunities out of the classroom also help provide children with new experiences. This runs alongside our 50 memorable moments. We offer a vocabulary rich curriculum and have high expectations for all. Personal development opportunities are interwoven through both our curriculum and opportunities within school.
Reading is fundamental to everything we do and is promoted across the curriculum. Our reading spines are diverse, enabling children to have exposure to a variety of authors and genres.
The impact of our success is evident in our outcomes, which show how our children achieve well above national pupil outcomes, but it’s not all about data and results…we are a happy school where children thrive.
